What are your capsules made of?
At CapsuleCore, we offer both gelatin and vegetarian (HPMC) empty capsules.
Our gelatin capsules are made from 100% bovine hide and are free of additives or preservatives. Our veggie capsules are plant-based and ideal for vegetarian or vegan use.
What capsule sizes do you carry?
We carry popular sizes such as 000, 00, 0, 1, 2, 3, and 4.
Capacity varies depending on the powder’s density. For example, size 00 can typically hold about 600–1100 mg, and size 0 about 400–600 mg of most powders.
Can I fill these capsules with liquids or oils?
Standard empty capsules are designed for dry powders and granules.
Liquids or oils can cause leakage and prevent the capsule halves from sealing properly.
For liquid formulations, you’ll need special softgel or enteric-coated capsules.
How should I store my capsules?
Keep capsules in a cool, dry place away from moisture, heat, and sunlight.
Ideal conditions are around 59-77°F (15-25°C) with moderate humidity.
Always keep them sealed in their original bag until ready to use.
How long do capsules last?
When stored correctly, empty capsules can last up to five years without losing quality or flexibility. Always reseal the bag after use to maintain freshness and prevent brittleness or sticking.
Do you sell capsule filling machines?
We’re in the process of adding capsule filling machines and accessories to our lineup. coming soon! Manual and semi-automatic capsule filling machines that work with all standard capsule sizes. They’re perfect for DIY supplement makers, small businesses, and manufacturers looking to speed up production.
Why do capsules sometimes stick or jam in a capsule filler?
This usually happens when capsules absorb moisture or when the filler trays have powder residue. Make sure your work area and hands are dry, and keep capsules sealed with a desiccant pack when not in use.
How do I choose the right capsule size?
It depends on your powder density and dose size.
If you’re unsure, start with size 00. It is the most common and works well for most supplement blends.
Can I separate the capsule halves for filling?
Yes. All CapsuleCore capsules come pre-joined but can easily be separated for hand or machine filling. After filling, simply press the two halves together until they click securely.
Are your capsules compatible with all capsule machines?
Yes! CapsuleCore capsules are made to standard sizing specifications and are compatible with most capsule filling machines on the market.
